What is a family? Most people get confused about the definition of family. A family is having a close relationship to a group of people and they do not have to be blood related. That group of people should share respect, love, and loyalty. Usually a family is consisting of a father, mother, and siblings. However, mine is grandparents, parents, and siblings. Families are important because they give love and security. For example, I always feel loved when I am with my family, and secured or protected. A person can learn anything from family such as respecting people, dealing with situation, and starting a new family of own based on the family. My family has influenced me in many aspects but most the influence is about my personality. My†¦show more content†¦My mother is competitive she likes to be the best in everything she does. As mentioned before, my father always hosts family gathering and all my aunts and my uncles’ wives bring homemade food, and my mother work har d to make her food tastes the best. For example, she could spend all her day cooking just to prove her point. Also, my mother is a good listener she can listen to anyone and give advice about anything. Moreover, my mother likes to be unique in everything. For example, sometimes she designs her own clothes just to look special or shop from rare designers. My mother is sophisticated house maker and I cannot live without her. I learned from my mother how to take care of people blood related or not. For example, seeing her with my grandparents and how their relationship is strong makes me proud about my mother. That has a major influence in my life and I wanted to be like her. In addition, she imprinted her competitive personality to me. I became competitive because of seeing her taking so much stress on anything just to look good. For example, I became competitive with videogames I like to get the high score among all my friends. Also since she is a listener my relationship with her is strong. That influenced my life because I enjoy listening to people and giving them advice. Another mark my mother gave my personality is to be unique.
